ACTEC and San Benildo update vocational training for disadvantaged youth and adults in Ecuador
The action carried out by ACTEC and San Benildo has aims to update practical training, modernize workshop equipment (automobile mechanics, electricity, computing) and to reinforce the skills of the staffs. These different axes of the project allow us to strategically support San Benildo La Salle collegue in its educational mission with underpriviledged youth and adults in precarious situations, who wish to broaden their professional horizonts.
Results obtained from our project with San Benildo :
- 2.250 students receive quality training and improve their employability, and 430 young people complete a 4-week internship in a local company.
- 50 professors and 2 members of the Management Team have improved their technical and pedagogical training.
- 150 former students of the school have specialized in their professional field.
- The local community benefits from the initiatives and innovations promoted by the students’ Degree Projects, stimulating entrepreneurship and encouraging good environmental practices.
