Every person has a diamond buried deep inside them. It’s the source of their talent and their energy. Together with our partners, I really like helping to awaken people’s talents so that they can make their dreams a reality: pride in a job well done and people working together with their families, friends and communities. Their progress is the oxygen that feeds my passion.”

‘A just world where everyone has the opportunity to be the protagonist of their own development’. I’ve known and supported ACTEC’s dream for a long time, and I’m delighted to be able to devote myself to it full-time from now on, contributing my experience as a financier (28 years in banking) and as a teacher (8 years at university, social promotion and general and vocational secondary school level).
In all humility, we still have so much to learn.
BELÉN VALENZUELA
Masters in NGO Management, Innovation and Leadership
I’m grateful for the freedom I enjoy as a European citizen and knowing that thousands of people live in poverty convinced me that it’s necessary to work on and commit to building a more human world. We have to provoke an “earthquake of solidarity”. I fully share ACTEC’s insistence on the value of every person and its vision that providing decent work is the best way to fight against poverty.
LENA EECKHOUDT

After several years of study and professional experience far from home, my role as administrative assistant at ACTEC gives me the chance to be connected to the world every day. It’s essential for me to feel the positive impact of my work and I’m convinced that technical training is one of the best ways of improving the daily lives of many disadvantaged people.
I’m delighted to be doing my bit to help our partners’ magnificent projects.
ALEXIA NORGAARD
Master's degree in population and development sciences
My humanitarian stay in Rwanda during my secondary education, followed by an Erasmus program in Chile during my Masters, revealed my true vocation. I chose to get involved in supporting the most disadvantaged, with the aim of giving them the means to help themselves and take responsibility for their own actions. What I find at ACTEC is this shared vision of helping people to improve their quality of life while placing them at the heart of this change, so that they become the main players in their own development. At ACTEC, we work with our partners to ensure that their life paths are continually enriched and that the new conditions they create are sustainable.
