CHRISTOPHE DEPRETER

Christophe holds a Master’s degree in Law and is a former para-commando reserve officer. He has held various management and general management positions in a number of Belgian and foreign service and industrial companies. Founder of a temporary management company, trainer and coach in Virtuous Leadership ® and management, he offers his services to various companies around the world. The development of individuals through self-knowledge (temperament and character) and the discovery of their talents and those of their team members form the core of his motivation, which he puts at the service of ACTEC and its partners.

BELÉN VALENZUELA

I’m grateful for the freedom I enjoy as a European citizen and knowing that thousands of people live in poverty convinced me that it’s necessary to work on and commit to building a more human world. We have to provoke an “earthquake of solidarity”. I fully share ACTEC’s insistence on the value of every person and its vision that providing decent work is the best way to fight against poverty.

MIGUEL ALBARRÁN

ACTEC’s representative in Spain and co-director of the ACTEC Academy

I hold a degree in Sociology from the University of Salamanca and have over 22 years’ experience in international cooperation in Latin America and Africa. Specialising in training and technical support for entrepreneurship and business development services, I have led projects focusing on innovation, appropriate technologies and adaptation to climate change. With a practical and strategic approach, I am dedicated to seeking international funding and advising local teams to promote human and sustainable development. I am also responsible for identifying, formulating and monitoring projects in countries such as Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador and El Salvador. I am currently ACTEC’s representative in Spain and co-director of the ACTEC Academy.

ALEXIA NORGAARD

My humanitarian stay in Rwanda during my secondary education, followed by an Erasmus program in Chile during my Masters, revealed my true vocation. I chose to get involved in supporting the most disadvantaged, with the aim of giving them the means to help themselves and take responsibility for their own actions. What I find at ACTEC is this shared vision of helping people to improve their quality of life while placing them at the heart of this change, so that they become the main players in their own development. At ACTEC, we work with our partners to ensure that their life paths are continually enriched and that the new conditions they create are sustainable.

WILLIAM OVIEDO

Studies in business administrator with a specialization in human resources management, and in project formulation and evaluation

I am in charge of our projects in Guatemala and Colombia. I am also a business administrator, a specialist in human resources management, and an expert in project formulation and evaluation. I have over 13 years of experience in social projects and business development. My experience covers all stages in the life of a project, from initial formulation to implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and closure. This vast experience enables me to approach each project from a holistic, results-based perspective.

Ever since I was a child, I have felt a deep calling to help create fairer conditions for those most in need, especially having grown up in Mexico, where social inequality affects many families. ACTEC has given me the opportunity to put into practice the skills I have acquired over more than 12 years of an international professional career, leading projects for multinational companies such as Unilever and L’Oréal, and I am delighted to be able to dedicate these skills to making a positive impact on people’s quality of life.

VICTOR ROBINSSON

Coming from South Africa, this country had a profound impact on me and made me aware of the inequalities that can exist in the world, which later motivated me to pursue studies in the social sciences to try and understand the origins of these problems as best I could.

At ACTEC, I see a real desire to improve the world around us and to aim for the emancipation of the beneficiaries of our projects. The NGO’s results-oriented vision makes the work we do with our partners very rewarding, enabling us to see the positive results of cooperation day after day.
