Inagurated in January 1998, l’Institut Supérieur en Sciences Infirmières (ISSI) offers a four-year paramedical training to young congolese women. ACTEC collaborates with ISSI in order to improve the professional skills of health personnel, as well as the heatlh structures of the Democratic Republic of Congo, which show numerous difficulties (lack of financial resources, equipment, infraestructures or qualified personnel).

Since 2004, ACTEC and ISSI have been collaborating on a sponsorship project for female students living in poverty.

Since 2022, ACTEC and ISSI have strengthened their partnership by adding to the sponsorship action a programme to strengthen the skills of the school’s staff and institutional capacities, in particular through continuous training for health professionals and awareness-raising campaigns among the population. This collaboration also includes ACTEC’s support for the financing of appropriate equipment and teaching materials to ensure quality training.
