ACTEC and Jacarandá update vocational training for disadvantaged youth and vulnerable adults in Ecuador
The action carried out by ACTEC and Jaracandá has aims to update practical training, modernize workshop equipment (gastronomy laboratory, computer rooms) and strengthen staff skills. These different axes of the project allow us to strategically support Jacarandá collegue in its educational mission with underpriviledged girls and adults in precarious situations, who wish to broaden their professional horizons.
Results obtained from our project with Jacarandá:
- 965 students have benefited from a quality formation and improved their employability, and 355 young people carry out 4-week internships with a local company.
- 41 professors and 4 members of the Management Team have improved their technical and pedagogical training.
- 655 parents have completed training modules in the fields of information technology, gastronomy and/or gardering.
- Empowerment of women and girls for succesful insertion into the labor market.
