Promotion and support of micro-enterprises in the informal sector to increase their social impact among vulnerable groups
For many years, El Salvador has faced a complex social environment marked by high levels of violence and insecurity, which have particularly affected women and young people. The lack of sustained economic opportunities has limited the development possibilities of large sectors of the population, reinforcing situations of vulnerability and exclusion.
To provide a sustainable response to this problem, ACTEC, together with its partner FUSAI, promotes the MBA Acelera program, a business acceleration initiative implemented through the LID Business School. The program accompanies micro and small entrepreneurs—mostly women—in an intensive business transformation process, strengthening their management, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills with a practical approach directly applied to the business.
MBA Acelera has established itself as a model of economic inclusion with excellent results in terms of sales growth, job creation, and greater business formalization. The program is aligned with El Salvador’s national priorities for economic development and employment and contributes to strengthening the role of entrepreneurs as actors in local development.
FUSAI is part of ACTEC’s MBA Acelera network, which promotes business acceleration for microentrepreneurs in different countries, with solid results in sales growth and job creation.
