Colombia is considered a middle-income country, and its economy has grown strongly in recent years. However, it has been marked by half a century of armed conflict and drug trafficking, leaving Colombian society facing numerous challenges: 35% of the population lives below the poverty line (2022), informal employment accounts for 60-70% of total employment, income inequalities are worrying, corruption is a serious problem, etc. To respond to the needs of the population suffering from these socio-economic inequalities, ACTEC works with its Colombian partners to develop innovative, high-impact projects that can serve as inspiration and guidance for other organisations.
